100 Girlie Things to do When on the Business Trail

We don't all have testosterone. As an IT professional in leadership, I have to remind myself of that fact constantly.

We're not all 24 any more. As a mom of 20-somethings, I don't need to remind myself. All I have to do is look in the mirror.

Many of we 50-something women have done a bit with our lives. This keeps us on the road some. "On the road" is a euphemism for quick drying skin, greying flesh, a little extra fat in our diets, and maybe a bit too much wine. On the road keeps us away from our massage therapists, our estheticians, and our hair dressers.

Before you judge me, let me remind you gently that we were all young and cash strapped once. We 50-something women were all at the start of our career at one point. Today, we're not. We have those laurels to ride on, but because of the economy, some of us are once again a little cash strapped.

We certainly do not have is that body youthful exuberance that causes stretched skin to snap back into place, excess moisture to seep into our pores, and excess fat to slide into areas that are attractive.

My facialist and I were discussing little things that I might do on the road to make myself feel more like a girl. Little bitty things that would help me feel refreshed, hydrated, loved, and maybe attractive. I decided to start this blog to see if I can make that happen for myself, and maybe for others!

The next 100 postings will be of the little things I find along the way that make life feel pretty darn good.
